NBA: LA Lakers 116, Denver 99
Derek Fisher hit three three-pointers during a 14-3 Los Angeles run in the third quarter and the Los Angeles Lakers rolled to a 116-99 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Fisher finished with 28 points, including six of seven shots from three-point range.
The Los Angeles Lakers also got 17 points and 11 assists from Kobe Bryant, and 15 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists from Lamar Odom. Jordan Farmar added 19 off the bench.
Denver was led by Allen Iverson's 24 points and 21 from Linas Kleiza off the bench. Carmelo Anthony had 13 points before he left in the second quarter with a left ankle injury.
Los Angeles was down by two late in the third period when it went on its key surge and led 91-82 going into the fourth quarter. The Lakers then expanded on that lead in the final period. The Nuggets managed just one field goal and no free throws in the first four minutes of the fourth.
