Lakers Blog: Talking with Javaris Crittenton
Brian Kamenetzky: You’re a quarter of the way through your first NBA season. Talk a little about how you feel you’re doing, what’s been good, what’s been bad.
Javaris Crittenton: I feel like I’m doing pretty good, and that everything has been progressing since day one. I’ve been working hard in practice, working even harder and harder as the season has gone on, and getting a little more time here and there. At the beginning of the season, for a lot of games I didn’t dress, now I’m dressing and playing some minutes. So I’m just trying to progress. The season will go by quick.
BK: Are you starting to get a feeling for what it will take for you to slowly get more minutes? Bump that 3-4 to 5-7 to 8-10?
JC: I think I’ve known that from day one. I’ve just been in a tough position, with a veteran like Derek Fisher in front of me, and Jordan Farmar has a year ahead of me. He’s learned the offense. I know the offense, but I think coach Jackson is showing some loyalty, too. (Jordan Farmar) was a rookie last year, in the same position I’m in. He had to wait his turn. So I understand the situation that I’m in. I don’t like it, and I’m trying to find a way not to accept it by continuing to work hard and find ways to get more minutes.
