MEMPHIS, Tn. -- O.J. Mayo continues to state his case for the National Basketball Association's Rookie of the Year Award.
The Huntington-native netted 22 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds in the Grizzlies 85-80 upset over New Orleans.
It marked Mayo's first ever NBA double-double.
Memphis led by a dozen points in the second half before the Hornets rallied to tie the score at 66 in the fourth quarter.
The Grizzlies then rattled off a 12-0 run, including 9 straight points by Mayo to take the lead for good.

He and teammate Marc Gasol will participate in the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, Friday at 9 p.m.
