Grizzlies announce 2008-09 pricing
The Grizzlies have announced their pricing structure for the 2008-09 season, and for the third year in a row returning Season Ticket Holders will not see a price increase. Furthermore, there will now be over 6,000 seats in the arena priced at $10 or less per game for season tickets, and over 4,500 tickets will go down in price for next season. In addition, returning Season Ticket Holders will be able to take part in an extensive loyalty and rewards program as the Grizzlies look to thank their ‘True Fan MVPs’ for the commitment they’ve made to the team. The rewards and loyalty perks for the ‘True Fan MVPs’ will be determined by number of years as a Season Ticket Holder and seat location.
All returning Season Ticket Holders will receive ‘True Loyalty’ benefits such as express concession lines, access to a special entrance to FedExForum, early entrance into the arena on game nights to watch the pre-game shootaround and pre-sale priority for FedExForum events.
Season Ticket Holders who have been with the team for five to seven years will also receive guaranteed giveaways, ensuring they get special promotional items regardless of what time they arrive at the game, access to the Grizzlies tent at the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest during Memphis in May and a team media guide. Season Ticket Holders who have been with the Grizzlies since the move to Memphis in 2001 will receive all of those benefits, along with the opportunity to get their photo taken with the team, a subscription to NBA League Pass and access to an all-new MVP Legends Lounge.
But the ‘True Rewards’ don’t end there. Returning floor seat holders will also get to choose between taking a trip with the team, a framed autographed Grizzlies jersey of their choice and a VIP Suite Night. Returning Courtside and Plaza I ticket holders will get to choose between an autographed jersey, access to a closed team practice, and a group night. Returning Club and Plaza II ticket holders will get to choose between 200 Grizz Bucks, a team-autographed ball and Grizz gear. Returning Plaza ticket holders will choose between 100 Grizz Bucks, a Grizzlies travel bag and a team-autographed ball. Returning Terrace seat holders will get to choose between a Rudy Gay autographed jersey, a Grizzlies golf shirt and 50 Grizz Bucks.
“Season Ticket Holders are the lifeblood of our organization. They’ve been with us through thick and thin, and deserve the kind of recognition and rewards this program offers,” said Gene Bartow, President, Hoops LP. “No other NBA team has ever instituted the kind of rewards we’re offering our returning Season Ticket Holders for next season. It’s our way of saying thanks for the incredible support they’ve shown us over the years.”
In addition, when the Grizzlies send out the renewal package today, Season Ticket Holders will want to check their package carefully. As part of their package, four lucky fans will receive a ticket to join the Grizzlies for one of their remaining road games: either the April 6 game in Minnesota or April 11 game in Miami. The prize will include seats on the team plane, accommodation in the team hotel and tickets to the game.
Season Ticket Holders who wish to take part in the ‘True Rewards’ program will need to renew their tickets by April 18. Season Ticket Holders can renew their seats for 2008-09 by mail with the invoice that will come with their renewal package or by contacting their account representative.
For fans who want to get in on the action in future years, season tickets for the 2008-09 season are now on sale. Tickets start at just $32 per game in the Plaza Level, and $5 per game in the Terrace Level. This season, the team is increasing the number of tickets that will cost $10 or less per game, with over 6,000 seats, which is over 30% of FedExForum, falling in that price range. Furthermore, 4,500 seats in all levels of the arena will be reduced in price for next season.
